Intro to Enameling: Colorful Tree Ornament

DESCRIPTION: Enameling is the process of fusing glass to metal. Students will choose their ornament and color pallet and we will begin sifting and firing both sides of the ornament immediately. Firing time for each project ranges from 1-2 minutes in the kiln per side and each ornament will be fired at least four times. Depending on the complexity of the project, it's possible that the student can complete more than one ornament.
*The cost of this class is higher than most due to the cost to run the kiln and the material preparation that is necessary to complete this project in such a sort time.
* The tuition is refundable up to 30 days before the beginning of class.
