DESCRIPTION: A prong setting is created when metal wires are shaped around a stone to hold it tightly in place. Most of the stone is visible in this type of setting. At the beginning of class, students will choose from rocks I’ve discovered in the garden. Then we will begin building a silver ring to complement the chosen stone. This course is designed for students with soldering experience. Students must take Intro to Soldering or demonstrate experience before enrolling in this course.
